Homeless or at Risk of Becoming Homeless and Wish to Get Help?

We regularly partner with Catholic Charities Homeless Outreach Team, Coordinated Access Network, Prospect House in Bridgeport, Supportive Housing Works (YMCA), Operation Hope, The Connection Inc. and other organizations to assist those who wish to get off the streets and into housing.

In 2016, The Connection Inc., a statewide nonprofit providing supportive housing, issued Off The Streets a certificate recognizing our contribution of new beds, bedding and household items for 10 previously homeless veterans. (These veterans are not included in our statistics of people housed since we did not provide a security deposit.)

If you or someone you know is homeless or at risk of becoming homeless and looking for help to get off the streets, please call 211 (select option 3, then option 1) and they will direct you to a social worker who will determine if Off The Streets or another group can help you.

If you are a senior experiencing homelessness, Caring.com is an additional resource available to you! Their easily accessible guide provides pragmatic solutions, empowering seniors and their families to secure emergency housing, obtain financial assistance, and explore rapid rehousing options.
