Homeless or at Risk of Becoming Homeless and Wish to Get Help?

PLEASE NOTE: OTS Bridgeport provides the security deposit for housing; we do NOT provide housing and are unable to fund money that is already owed. At this time, due to very limited donated resources, we can ONLY provide security deposit assistance to the homeless in towns in lower FAIRFIELD COUNTY (Bridgeport, Shelton, Stratford, Easton, Trumbull, Monroe, Fairfield, Westport, Norwalk, Stamford, Greenwich, Darien, Green Farms, Wilton, New Canaan, Newtown, and Weston).

Applying for help is easy!

  1. Contact 211 (select option 3, then option 1) to get in touch with a social worker. They will determine if Off The Streets Bridgeport or another group can help you.
  2. If your social worker determines that we might be able to help you, ask them to download and submit our placement application. Download here: Fillable PDF (recommended) or Word Document
    • Make sure to provide your social worker with: a form of identification (driver’s license, birth certificate, etc.); proof of employment (pay stubs, W-2, employer letter / phone call, State assistance, monthly food stamps, disability and/or social security income, etc.).
  3. You MUST include a copy of the signed lease with your application as well as a copy of the rider/addendum listed in the application. If this is not provided with the application, then we cannot accept your application. Download here: Fillable PDF (recommended) or Word Document
  4. You and your social worker must sign the application, then submit it to Off The Streets Bridgeport via email or mail. If we accept your application, we will then contact your social worker.

We regularly partner with Catholic Charities Homeless Outreach Team, Coordinated Access Network, Prospect House in Bridgeport, Supportive Housing Works (YMCA), Operation Hope, The Connection Inc. and other organizations to assist those who wish to get off the streets and into housing.
