There are many ways that you can support us:
Financial Donation
Off The Streets has no paid staff and no office. 95% of all donations go directly toward the support of our mission; the other 5% is allocated toward our minimal overhead (insurance, etc.). As of 2026, the average security deposit per placement is $2,000. We need your support today!

If you would like to make a donation in memory of someone, please use the form below or send a check and write “In Memory Of” in the memo.
Apartment Space
Off The Streets works with landlords and property managers that specialize in providing rooms and small apartments for low-income clients. If you know of available space, please contact us.
Household Goods Donation & Welcome Baskets
Once the process of placing someone experiencing homelessness into housing has finished, Off The Streets continues to provide assistance by:
- Working with Catholic Charities to provide household furniture to help give our clients a fresh start. If you are interested in donating furniture, please visit the contact us page for more information.
- Putting together Welcome Baskets containing essential household items such as cleaning supplies.
In 2016, The Connection Inc., a statewide nonprofit providing supportive housing, issued Off The Streets a certificate recognizing our contribution of new beds, bedding and household items for 10 previously homeless veterans. (These veterans are not included in our statistics of people housed since we did not provide a security deposit.)
Volunteer Your Time and Talent
Volunteers are our lifeblood! At this time, we are in need of volunteers to assist with the following:
- Moving furniture: we work closely with Catholic Charities to provide furniture to those we have placed into housing. Sometimes, we need to step in and provide assistance with delivering this furniture to the person’s apartment. We need help loading the furniture into our van and then unloading the furniture at the person’s apartment.
- Fundraising: brainstorming ideas for fundraisers, setting up events.
- Welcome baskets: putting together welcome baskets and delivering them to those that we place into housing.
- Grants and Donations: searching for, and applying for, grants; finding sources of donations.
- Publicity: creating and updating brochures and PowerPoint presentations, publicizing fundraising events (creating flyers, posting ads on social media and other online platforms, etc.)
- Technology: managing our social media accounts, sending email blasts, maintaining our website
