Household Cleaning Supplies
Off the Streets Bridgeport is conducting a HOUSEHOLD CLEANING SUPPLIES MINISTRY to aid the homeless in Greater Bridgeport and the surrounding communities of Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Norwalk, Shelton, Stratford, Trumbull, and Westport who are entering their apartments.
Below is a list of the types of items that which the homeless are in need. Kindly drop off your donations at St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St, Trumbull, CT 06611 in a box or bucket clearly marked for OFF THE STREETS. You may also wish to email us, letting us know you dropped off a donation.
- General
- Mops with plastic mop bucket.
- Brooms and dustpans.
- Swifter sweepers and dusters.
- Cleaning sprays and solutions (Lysol, Windex, Fanastik, Tilex, etc.).
- Laundry detergent liquid and fabric softener.
- Paper towels.
- Kitchen
- Dishwashing soap (Dawn, Ajax, etc.).
- Sponges and scrubbing pads.
- Towels for drying dishes.
- Garbage bags
- Bathroom
- Toilet cleaner (Scrubbing Bubbles, etc.) and toilet cleaning brushes.
- Disinfectant spray (Lysol, etc.)
- Rags for cleaning.
- Gift cards
- Department stores (Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Home Depot, etc.).
- Supermarkets (Stop & Shop, ShopRite, Price Rite, Aldi’s, Big Y, etc.)
Used Furniture
We are looking for living room chairs, recliners, coffee tables, beds, mattresses, dressers, night tables, lamps, kitchen tables, chairs, mirrors, lamps, and kitchen accessories such as tableware, dishes, pots, pans, Tupperware, and cooking utensils.
