We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization working hard to help transition homeless people and families, who although they have a way to pay a monthly rent, do not have sufficient savings to pay an upfront security deposit. Through your generous donations, OFF THE STREETS-Bridgeport provides the security deposit directly to the landlord, enabling them to secure an apartment they can call home. Off The Streets-Bridgeport also provides furniture, and many other essential household items to its clients. We need your support to continue to grow this important service in our communities. The average security deposit in Fairfield County is approximately $1,500 – a 39% increase from just two years ago. Per the IRS, our federal tax id number is 27-0979787. All donations are tax-deductible.
